About This Website

In 2009, I started my first blog on a platform called Posterous, going through at least seven iterations and designs as platforms, trends and my own career roles and interests changed. The website you’re visiting now is the outcome of 15 years of writing and interacting with readers who’ve found me online, as well as all of the students who’ve attended my workshops in Australia, Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.

At the same time, with a career of almost 40 years (including 20 years facilitating training workshops), I’ve also gathered a lot of stuff that makes no sense keeping inside a filing cabinet, real or digital.

So, I’m going through my archives and putting it out there for my students to use and access as background. If anyone else finds it useful, even better. The content includes the most popular articles from my blogging days, as well as the additional materials I share with students in my training workshops here in Australia and abroad.

Four Areas of Content

The information is organised into the four areas reflecting my career, experience and interest. In order:

  • Analyse information to extract useful insights
  • Brainstorm solutions to solve problems
  • Communicate those ideas to other people
  • Lead others to success, often by motivating, negotiating and collaborating with others

Currently there are roughly 300 articles organised here with more planned. Each area has sub-categories to filter materials for easier searching, including plenty of search tags. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, or want more information.

In short, this website supports my philosophy, both in training and in life:

Learn what you don’t know.

As my name is on the masthead, I only provide content that I’ve created myself.

    Content

I want to be clear I make no money from this website.

I’m not here to get rich. As mentioned above, my primary objective is to provide additional information and background for those who either attend my workshops or have found me through an Internet search.

While I may write and offer my opinion of the content, I do not own others’ content. All rights remain with the original authors. When I can, I try to reference the original owners. I try as often as possible to provide links to others’ websites or to appropriate places to purchase their books, etc.

If I can add a website or links to others’ websites, please contact me.

If I miss anyone, please let me know.

If you want your materials removed, please let me know.

And finally, as it related to Comments, I reserve the right to delete any comments I feel are offensive, irrelevant, fraudulent or blatant advertisements.

Otherwise, thank you for visiting my website.

I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, sea and sky where I,  my family, colleagues and students live and work.

For myself based in Sydney, I recognise the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. I honour their elders past, present and emerging.

I would also like to extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

To take nothing away the importance of the Acknowledgement, I would like to add something more.

No matter where you were born on this planet, including the cultures, languages, traditions and customs that you hold important regardless of where you live now, I would also like to recognise and respect your heritage, regardless of how you define it or how you define yourself.

    Welcome to my website.

    Andy
